Bladder Problems in Women

Symptoms and Treatments

Urinary or bladder control problems that cause more frequent urination and leakage are embarrassing and uncomfortable for women. The most common causes of urinary or bladder control problems are:

1. Overactive Bladder (OAB)

Refers to a group of symptoms that may occur alone or, more commonly, in combination with one another, including:

  • Urinary frequency – going to bathroom too often to pass urine
  • Urinary urgency – rushing to the bathroom urinate,
  • Nocturia – waking up at night to urinate
  • Urge incontinence – rushing to the bathroom, but don’t get there in time and leak urine

2. Urinary Incontinence

The uncontrollable loss of urine that causes a woman to wet her underwear or clothing.

There are effective treatments that help women to lead a more normal and relaxed life. To find the best treatment quickly and effectively, WeShare is a tool that enables a patient to confidentially and discretely communicate with her doctor. WeShare collects data from the patient about urinary frequency and leakage symptoms and then transfers it to the doctor via electronic upload. This allows for better diagnosis and treatment options using telemedicine applications and/or fewer in-person office visits.
